Winging It With Limited-Edition Dieux Eye Mask

Writer: Bethany RamsayBethany Ramsay

Can something this beautiful actually be functional? 100%. Dieux Skin believes in form AND function when it comes to its product development and it pays off. Consumers have been asking the brand to bring back their Winged Forever Eye Mask over and over again. Dieux delivered -- and then some.

Founded by Charlotte Palermino, Dieux set out to make this well-loved eye mask even better. And our favorite part is the radical transparency in which both founder and brand chose to highlight the process, past design flaws and all.

Showing a clear understanding of the consumer experience, a side-by-side explains that the previous tin was too difficult to open and the cut-out edges made the original mask itself far too fragile.

The 2025 version has been made 20% larger in order to cover more surface area under the eye, amplifying plumping benefits, as well as the addition of an elongated straight edge that keeps winged eyeliner application in mind.

This multifunctional upgrade was inspired by a video created by Makeup Artist Katie Jane Hughes who pointed out that the wing's design was actually perfect for doing her eyeliner. You see how Dieux enthusiastically gives credit where credit is due? We do.

The design from tin to the mask itself is simply stunning and this was a collaborative and highly credited effort between Dieux and the artists.

Painter Elisabeth Larson is behind the whimsical hand-painted tin design. The brand showcased Larson's work in development on their stories, giving consumers an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the process.

Artist and Creative Director Leslie Xia designed the intricate wings that still give the end user the heavenly desired effect even with the added functional of the 2025 upgrade.

Dieux has been collecting consumer requests and incorporated them into the go-to-market rollout on social media, which feels like a love letter to the brand's loyal following. The content we're getting is a mix of gorgeous ethereal imagery with to-the-point information, education, and use options.

Constructed of 100% medical grade silicone, the eye masks have a non-slip feature and are designed to keep skincare products snug against the skin to maximize absorption and benefits.

Key Benefits:

  • Allows product to fully sink in skin

  • Visibly plumps fine lines

  • Boosts skin hydration

  • Customizable eye treatment

  • Support for winged eyeliner application

  • Catches makeup fallout

Something else we love about the Winged Forever Eye Mask? It's been designed to be "endlessly reusable," an incredible sustainable and wallet-friendly perk.

As of publishing, the limited edition product is still available for purchase. We'll be curious to see just how quickly Dieux's work of art flies off the digital shelves.
