The way the beauty industry has shown up for LA in the aftermath of the devastating fires has left us feeling incredibly proud to be a part of this community. As we ease back into our normal content, we wanted to showcase a new drop from Beauty Brief HQ fave Starface that's using its recent launch as an opportunity to give back to those impacted.
Star Balm in itself isn't a new product -- the brand has expanding their product offerings beyond aesthetic pimple patches with the initial release, as well as pore strips -- but what we have been given are THREE new flavors to choose from with the lip balms, making that (7) total.
Sold individually or together as the Fruity Cutie Bundle, the new flavored balms include:
So Strawberry
Coconut Blast
Mango Mania
This week, all proceeds from the Fruity Cutie bundle and individual Star Balms in the (3) flavors above will go directly to LA through the following organizations:
YMCA LA
Boys & Girls Club LA Relief Fund
LAUSD Education Foundation Emergency Relief Fund
Let's dive into each of the new flavors, besties.

Star Balm Collection Stats:
Star Balm is an adorably packaged and fruit-centric lip balm that gives us some serious cuteness aggression. But we love that it also serves a majorly practical function in delivering lasting hydration with its effective mix of ingredients to keep lips soft and moisturized throughout the day.
Starface describes Star Balm as being "like a hug for your lips, these silky lip balms are here to help soothe chapped skin and minimize dryness."
Key Ingredients:
Shea Butter - soothes chapped or dry skin
Cocoa Butter - hydrates skin for super soft lips
Coconut Oil - moisturizes skin and minimizes dryness
The Marketing
Starface never disappoints. We can always expect bright, vibrant visuals that deliver intrigue and immediately resonate with their target audience. The brand recognition factor has been mastered.
What we love about each new rollout is that they have personalities of their own, this one being very on trend with fruit-themed beauty products, but you'll also notice that the brand isn't "doing too much."
This is where Starface particularly thrives -- in knowing their community, catering to and nurturing them in ways that may be deemed less flashy by bigger brands, but pack enough of a brand punch that it's made Starface who it is today.
The key is simply to get it. To know your audience and rollout intentional marketing strategy that will evoke the desired emotion while simultaneously serving up products that truly deliver.
