Clean & Curated Cosmeceuticals: Meet Topical Skin

Finding a skincare routine is no easy feat. There's no one size fits all solution for our faces. But once in a while a new line launches that feels like it could be as close as we can get to a universal match in this category. If you're still looking for your daily essentials, perhaps it's time to explore Topical Skin.

"Our products have been meticulously formulated to blend seamlessly into any existing skincare routine and are compatible with most products out on the market. They are hydrating in nature, thanks to the oleossome technology and packed with skin-barrier supporting and skin-soothing ingredients," GM Ewelina Aiossa shares of her new brand's creation.

The minimalist packaging and science-forward branding gives us an idea of Topical Skin's intentions. But what isn't found often is an accessible price point for this category and Topical Skin provides a less intimidating middle ground with products ranging from $35 to $85.

Our favorite part? This brand's founder comes with serious skincare experience. Aiossa is a highly credible and award-winning authority in the beauty industry. She's previously served as co-founder of Clinical Skin and in leadership roles with L'Oreal, TOPIX Skin Health, Pierre Fabre's Dermacosmetique, TOPIX Pharmaceuticals, and Osmotics Cosmeceuticals.

Legitimizing the brand as a professional cosmeceutical skincare line, Aiossa brought Topical Skin to market ready with the receipts.

"The formulas have been vetted and recommended by skincare professionals, including dermatologists and aestheticians, and the oleosomes have been researched by a board-certified dermatologist and published in a peer-reviewed journal," she shares.

If you're wondering what oleosomes are, we got you. Safflower Oleosomes are a multi-benefit ingredient as well as a delivery system that's found in Topical Skin's products.

According to the Brand Site: Tiny Little Orbs of Nutrients

"Oleosomes, which contain beneficial fatty acids, primarily linolenic acid, and Vitamin E, are known for their ability to help diminish the signs and occurrence of dry skin and lock moisture in. Oleosomes gradually release the stored emollient plant oil and vitamin E over an extended period, providing the skin with long-lasting moisture."

This clean product line has been designed with sensitive skin in mind and places a significant emphasis on research and innovation, something we personally seek from our skincare selections at The Beauty Brief.

"It also taps into the most bio-effective ingredients and phytonutrients available," Aiossa adds.

Topical Skin is the product of more than 15 years of experience Aiossa has spent working within the professional beauty industry, including with brands, skincare experts, and scientists.

"My goal was to develop a product line that bridges the divide between science-backed cosmetics and clean beauty. This line would harness the potency of naturally derived and sustainably sourced ingredients with multifunctional properties and incorporate them into cosmeceutical formulas," the founder says.

We're loving the blend of both science and nature taking place within the Topical Skin brand ethos.

Aiossa explains that she's also incorporated elements of biohacking and "derm-hacking" with a goal of making these practices accessible to a wider audience, while ultimately helping to reshape the narrative surrounding skin health as she still maintains a clean profile for her brand.

"Topical Skin aims to empower individuals to feel confident and beautiful in their skin," Aiossa shares.

The formulas are simultaneously preventative and corrective as they combine the oleosomes with botanicals, antioxidants, and clinically-validated actives such as peptides. With the multi-functional benefits, bright vision and significant background from Aiossa, and existing industry buzz from our friends at NewBeauty, Skin Inc, and WellSpa360, The Beauty Brief is happy to join in to declare that Topical Skin is officially one to watch.

The Beauty Brief Faves from Topical Skin:

Moisturizing without any residue-leaving after effects. Your skin still feels super clean, but not stripped. A fabulous cream cleanser option for oily skin types still seeking essential hydration. Pleasant wash experience overall. Sensitive-skin friendly to boot. A little moisture and glow boost for the finale.

Peptide Serums are becoming an essential for any skincare routine. This is a great option for all skin types and is incredibly lightweight with quick absorption as an added plus. We liked the layer-ability factor of this one from Topical Skin and found it plays well on makeup days, too.

This moisturizer is a wonderful option for sensitive skin types that are still looking for benefit-packed formulations without risking irritation. It's incredibly rich and a little goes a long way, so we opted out of AM wear on makeup days, but LOVED this as our finishing step in our PM routines nightly.
