Our thoughts on the honey-infused hair repair serum launch:
Our favorite honey-inspired haircare brand, Gisou, launched a new Hair Repair Serum at the start of the month.
And trust us — it’s sure to capture your attention like a flower captures a meandering bee.
You see, at first glance, it looks like there’s a floating honeycomb in the bottle!
Beyond looks, the beads inside are micro-encapsulated droplets that gently burst upon application, releasing a honey and oil-based blend enriched with plant-based keratin to seal in moisture, intensely hydrate your hair, reduce breakage, and seal split ends. Pretty cool, right?
Founded by Negin Mirsalehi, the Gisou brand isn’t just another aesthetic hair brand at Sephora. With six generations of beekeeping in her family, Negin Mirsalehi built the brand with a foundation rooted in her family’s heritage and her passion for bees, natural beauty, and haircare.
According to Negin, this hair serum really helped her with postpartum hair loss and shedding. She claims it instantly reduced her breakage and brought back some of the shine and strength she lost.
Ummm, we’re sold.
As part of Gisou’s go-to-market strategy, the brand posted behind the scenes of the product being made on social and posted fun teasers that positioned the new product as a complement to Gisou’s existing collection.
Gisou is continuing to highlight this launch with fun UGC content and aesthetic lifestyle videos shot by the brand.
The brand has also been featured by several editorial outlets, including Refinery29, Forbes, and WWD, among other digital publications.
We’re guessing this is only the beginning of this product’s promotion. There must be some gifting and influencer events still up Negin and the team’s sleeves (or should we see beekeeping gloves), right, Gisou?
All in all, this new serum seems like the perfect complement to the brand’s best-selling, honey-infused hair oil.
What are your thoughts on this buzzworthy launch? We’re all ears!
